I am constantly amazed by people’s Facebook profile pictures. I guess since I am friends with a lot of professional photographers and models, I might see more of this. Regardless, there is a certain art that goes into choosing a good profile picture. It can’t be too complicated, but it should definitely catch the eye. We Love Your Creativity #9 – Nudity
Naked photos immediately catch people’s interests. There’s sort of an element like you are doing something wrong. In general, people need to be more accepting and shouldn’t immediately classify a nude photography as vulgar and tasteless. Flaws are what make people interesting. When I see these photos it makes me respect the models. That’s why they are inspiring to me.

Young Artist Showcase: Natasha Sadikin (17, USA)
“Sometimes I feel like I can stand for eternity in front of an “awe-inspiring” photograph, and I hope that one day, a person will do that to my work too ^__^“
Natasha’s photography grabs me by the heart and drags me through the mud. Her compositions disturb and inspire me. At only 17, I encourage Natasha to take her skill and run with it. She has something special.

Young Artist Showcase: Mary Robinson (16, USA)
I first found 16 year old Mary Robinson’s photostream a few months ago, and added her as a contact immediately. Her photos are some of my favorite kind– the type that seem to carry a memory with them. It could be yours, or hers, or anybody’s. But that’s just it. It’s alive. It has that hint of another dimension… time, smell, touch, emotion. Her film photos especially seem to hold this quality. These are the things I want to look at, the pretty way that I want to live. Her photos inspire me to do so. I hope you find the same

Young Artist Showcase: Lucia Moretti (23, Switzerland)
Meet Lucia Moretti, a 23 year-old aspiring photographer from Switzerland. I’d like to welcome her to Nonsense Society. She has a very natural quality to her photography that really grabs me and drags me in. I’m especially impressed because she does a lot of fashion photography, which usually seems forced, thick, and commercial to me. Lucia’s photos are different, however. I dare you to disagree.

I am an artistic explorer. A curator of creativity. There is so much talent and vision in this world that goes unnoticed. I am constantly searching the internet for inspiration that knocks the air out of me! Today’s theme: the human back (photography). I was recently amazed at how many photographers find expression in photos of the back. I suppose I can’t blame them. These pictures move me.

The following is a showcase of 10 remarkable young photographers who have submitted some great work to Nonsense Society. I am extremely impressed with the amount of potential in this bunch! These photographers are from many different countries across the globe and display talent and vision that will take them far. At such a young age, imagine what they will accomplish in the future. I am so proud to feature them here.
Young Artist Showcase: Ayla Maagdenberg (Netherlands)
Ayla Maagdenberg is a 22 year-old graphic designer and photographer from the Netherlands. I met her in Boston last year and fell in love with her style and talent. We have been friends ever since. She always seems to have something new and exciting she is working on that I would never expect. I finally gathered the courage to ask her to join Nonsense Society, and she said yes. Take a look, enjoy, and maybe even learn something.
How to Take a Kick-Ass Photo
I get submissions from photographers every day. Some good. Some great. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what makes a photo grab my attention. There are certain things you should keep in mind when taking and editing photos. Here are some basics to help you out.
Young Photographer Series: Jessica Klingelfuss (23)
“Photography is the purest augmentation of reality. I enjoy creating these strange and surreal dreamscapes, and placing quirky characters in them. I think fashion is as much an art form as any traditional medium like painting or sculpture, and lends itself well to being photographed and not just worn. You could say I am a visual hedonist – my eyes lust for pure beauty constantly, imagery that leaves me breathless, colours so rich my pupils dilate, and photography gives me a chance to fulfill this.”
The Best Eyes on the Internet
When I started this site I wanted to find art and artists who inspire me and take my breath away. That’s what the Nonsense Society is all about. I decided to put this post together as an inspiration for the society. It is important to learn from the work of others. I constantly find myself inspired and wowed by eyes. Here are some of the best examples of photography featuring eyes that I could find. You’ll notice that there is something about each shot that grabs you. The eyes are what make each picture. It’s easy to take a pretty picture of an eye – but not like this:
Mandala Francisco: Artist, Musician, Filmmaker, and Poet
Meet Mandala. She’s the kind of person we like to find here at the Nonsense Society. She told me that she can never be limited to one art form. I feel the same way! Art, music, film, and word are all connected. I wanted to recognize Mandala for her creativity that seems to have no bounds. Thanks Mandala!

In Between Closed and Open
Branches blowing in the wind.
Shadows in my bedroom corner.
The door left slightly open,
undecided,
in between closed and open.
Temporary.
I never close it all the way,
it is always left ajar,
open for suggestion,
for change.
Just because it’s a door,
does that mean it needs to be one or the other?
Should I just close it?
Now I feel alone.
It’s too quiet.
It’s just these four walls and me-
Lying here in the silence.
The only sound of my sighs,
and racing thoughts.
But can one really be alone?
Is that an illusion?
A fear, a word, a feeling.
I begin to sing,
my voice vibrates inside my chest,
flies past my lips,
and whooshes around the room.
It rings,
and echo back to me,
as if to prove,
I am not really alone.

Hi, my name’s Christy. I like pictures and words. I like sugarcoated lullabies and thousand dollar heartache. I like disasters and impossible things that make you dream. I like things that don’t exist yet. I like the smell of coffee in the morning and crooked smiles. I believe in freedom and that everyone is born with a pair of wings upon their back. My love glides from room to room and I am not afraid to shine. I am forever infinite. I am restless in the way your bones always ache, and I store my heart in a jar for safekeeping. I am lights you turn out at night and sounds you only hear in the dark. I am a fan of cliches.

Young Photographer Series: Brianna Elton (17)
This 17 year-old photographer from Australia sent me her photography saying, “Right now all I want more than anything in the world is to get out of school and pursue my career as a professional photographer.” To her I say, YES. Do it, and the Nonsense Society will back you every step of the way. Her passion is excruciating, and I can’t wait to see what else she can come up with.
