Distorting Reality Through Photography – Brooke Shaden

Her vision extends beyond the realm of the camera, creating images that resemble paintings and speak of an era that is not our own. Each image is a story.

We Love Your Creativity #9 – Nudity

Naked photos immediately catch people’s interests. There’s sort of an element like you are doing something wrong. In general, people need to be more accepting and shouldn’t immediately classify a nude photography as vulgar and tasteless. Flaws are what make people interesting. When I see these photos it makes me respect the models. That’s why they are inspiring to me.

You probably don’t want to look at this at work or with children (duh).

Young Photographer Series: BJ Pascual (21)

“When I was young, whenever I’d look at photos in magazines I would always imagine what was happening outside of the frame; what the photographer was thinking, how long the model has been posing, or what the weather was outside the studio. Now whenever I shoot it still amazes me that I’m that photographer shooting. And I love it.” - BJ Pascual

Young Photographer Week: Julia Wang

julia-wang-banner“Photography for me is a way of stopping time and immortalizing everything I see around me, with a simple click of a shutter. I also see it as a way of preserving life, history, and culture. Born and raised in an “ideal” American suburb, I’ve never had much taste of the world around me. There are more than 6 billion people in this world, and I want to know how their lives are like. With photography, you can capture the beauty of life and keep it forever. There is only so much you can do with writing, the rest you have to see with your eyes.”

Dark, Frightening, and Enigmatic Works That Leave You Sorrowful

stefano-banner

Here we have a dynamic collection of works by Italian artist, photographer, and poet Grassi Stefano. He mostly experiments with graphic art, photography, and graphic poetry. The darkness of his work is what makes him stand out from the crowd. After looking at his work I get that deep, almost depressed feeling that one only gets when they realize that they are indeed alive.

Instances of Breathtaking Creativity 2

breathtaking-creativity-2-banner

Out there in the world are artists who see things. I mean, really see things. These people can transform everyday life into breathtaking art. In order to do this you must ignore boundaries in your mind so that you may see how one part of something can blend into something else. Once you see the vision you must then make the smooth transition between ideas. That’s the trick, isn’t it? Other instances of breathtaking creativity involve conveying a vivid feeling, idea, or statement through an image. These artists have done just that, making a stunning composition. I challenge you to feel nothing while looking at these works. Good luck. This is the second in a series of two compilations. Be sure to check out the first installment of Instances of Breathtaking Creativity as well.
