Effective Uses of Vibrant Color

One of my favorite tricks in Photoshop is to go straight to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and desaturate. I know I am not alone in this. However, you and I may be digging ourselves into a deep hole of desaturated boredom. Artists should take every opportunity to experiment with color. I have always been a fan of black and white photography, but there are instances where it makes or breaks a picture. The following collection of photos contains some amazing examples of black and white portrait photography. By taking out the color of a picture, it allows the viewer to concentrate on other aspects of the composition. Sometimes color can get in the way.
