Young Artist Showcase: Charlotte Ball (18, England)

I am Charlotte Ball, a young photographer and art student. There is nothing I want more than to be a successful fashion photographer, and I will do anything that it takes to do so.

We Love Your Creativity #2

Need a quick fix of inspiration?! This is a series that recognizes some of the best artists and work floating out there on the internet. These works have inspired us and will hopefully inspire you too! Remember, all rights to works posted on The Nonsense Society are reserved by the controlling rightholder(s). We Love Your Creativity #9 – Nudity

Naked photos immediately catch people’s interests. There’s sort of an element like you are doing something wrong. In general, people need to be more accepting and shouldn’t immediately classify a nude photography as vulgar and tasteless. Flaws are what make people interesting. When I see these photos it makes me respect the models. That’s why they are inspiring to me.

You probably don’t want to look at this at work or with children (duh).

Young Photographer Series: Christy Trapp (15)

Hi, my name’s Christy. I like pictures and words. I like sugarcoated lullabies and thousand dollar heartache. I like disasters and impossible things that make you dream. I like things that don’t exist yet. I like the smell of coffee in the morning and crooked smiles. I believe in freedom and that everyone is born with a pair of wings upon their back. My love glides from room to room and I am not afraid to shine. I am forever infinite. I am restless in the way your bones always ache, and I store my heart in a jar for safekeeping. I am lights you turn out at night and sounds you only hear in the dark. I am a fan of cliches.

Young Photographer Series: Bethany Grace (17)

“Everyone has created or is creating beauty, in whatever way they please, and I can’t get enough of it!” – Bethany Grace

Young Photographer Series: Brianna Elton (17)

This 17 year-old photographer from Australia sent me her photography saying, “Right now all I want more than anything in the world is to get out of school and pursue my career as a professional photographer.” To her I say, YES. Do it, and the Nonsense Society will back you every step of the way. Her passion is excruciating, and I can’t wait to see what else she can come up with.

All of these images are Copyright Brianna Elton, so don’t steal them, okay!?

Young Photographer Series: Julia Trotti (18)

“Sitting in the sky, breathing sunspots, I hope my photography takes me to capturing musicians who I’ve been listening to for years, shooting for magazines and creating pieces of art that light up in the bug-eyes of today’s youth and inspires them to create.” - Julia Trotti

Celebrating Love Through Creativity

Love just may be the greatest inspiration for all artists. Here at the Nonsense Society we celebrate creativity everyday, but today we are celebrating love. Happy Valentine’s Day, Nonsense Society. However you’re spending your day, we hope these beautiful images bring a little love into your life. Whether you’re off on a romantic trip with your loved one, or simply playing chat bingo with your friends, these emotive pictures are sure to bring a smile to your face. Love continues to be a huge source of creative inspiration throughout the world, and something which should certainly be celebrated.

Young Photographer Series: Leïla Berney (17)

“Photography, to me, is a gift and a privilege offered to us all as a means to capture moments in time forever. When I pick up a camera, a sort of rush comes over me… a NEED to capture something pure, something raw, something beautiful, and to share it with as many people as I can. It is a veritable high to be able to take a photograph and then have that memory become tangible. In a world that has experienced so much hardship, I think we are all seeking for beauty in some way, shape or form. I also think that, overwhelmed by our fast-paced society, we sometimes overlook the simple beauty that is all around us, the beauty that is LIFE. I want my photos to make you feel something real- joy, fear, awe, confusion, serenity, love, anger… and I hope that if you glance through my lens you will discover that beauty really is everywhere if you would only take the time to look and see.”
- Leïla Berney

This series recognizes extraordinary members of the Nonsense Society community. It is always a pleasure to hear from readers, fans, and fellow artists. In this post we’d like to promote a few artists who have been involved in the community recently and give them some helpful feedback. If anyone has anything to add, please share in the comments.
