“Everyone has created or is creating beauty, in whatever way they please, and I can’t get enough of it!” – Bethany Grace
Young Photographer Series: Tania Carvalho (22)

“Photography never started as a hobby. I always loved to take pictures, it’s how I see people and the details. As someone once said, pictures are forever. Those we can keep, those are the memories we will never forget. Photography is my way of showing this world people, the way I see them, the way I see the world and how beautiful anyone, and anything can be. It really means, everything. It’s my passion, my best friend, my guide, my lover.” – Tania Carvalho Continue Reading

Young Photographer Week: Larissa Felsen
“For some time, I thought I’d settle for being a hobbyist. But then, everytime I thought about it, a dull ache would take over me. For me, photography means the cure for this pain of not settling for an ordinary life, it also means the outlet for images and scenes burning in my mind, asking to be released, expressed in some way. Some people write, others paint. I shoot.” - Larissa Felsen
Young Photographer Week: Julia Wang
“Photography for me is a way of stopping time and immortalizing everything I see around me, with a simple click of a shutter. I also see it as a way of preserving life, history, and culture. Born and raised in an “ideal” American suburb, I’ve never had much taste of the world around me. There are more than 6 billion people in this world, and I want to know how their lives are like. With photography, you can capture the beauty of life and keep it forever. There is only so much you can do with writing, the rest you have to see with your eyes.”

The Line Between Art and Pornography
A lot of people are scared to enjoy art that incorporates nudity. When is it pornography and when is it art? The truth is, the human body is a wonderful and beautiful thing. When captured in the right light it is most definitely art! If the artist or photographer is focusing on the beauty of the body, intimacy, or making a statement it is art. It is easy to determine if the purpose of the composition is just SEX. Art can be sexy and that doesn’t necessarily make it pornography. Need clarification? The following are gorgeous examples of nudity as art, not pornography.
