
Rina Miriam Drescher is a Visual Artist living and working in Boston, MA, USA. Rina attended the University of Rochester where she received BAs in both English and Studio Art. She then moved to Finland and attended Vapaa Taidekoulu (The Free Art School) where she was encouraged to paint really messily and sometimes with the lights off, and in 2006 was selected to show 2 large paintings in the very prestigious Pirkanmaan III Triennaali, curated by Janne Gallen-Kallela-Siren, director of the Helsinki Art Museum. Rina then moved to Boston, MA to study at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Rina makes primarily large format paintings and drawings and uses a wide range of mediums in her work. She will quite often paint on her drawings and draw on her paintings. She will quite often draw or paint or paint and draw on just about anything she can get her hands on.
