Supernatural Photography and Photo-Manipulations by Rebecca Massey
“I have always loved surrealism, science fiction, classical painters, and all things that look like extracted from a dream (or a nightmare).”

“I am still working on developing a unique artistic voice, and that probably will never stop. It’s hard to not compare yourself to others and want to stand out or be different, a little like in high school! But a mantra that I have embraced lately is that if you draw inspiration from your dreams, what lies deep inside you and is only yours, that’ll reflect on your work. Of course, the techniques and medium used are always somewhat commonplace, but the concept and vision are yours and yours only, and that definitely reflects on your work and how unique it becomes.
You can even create an image in an empty room and make it reflect your very unique style, it all comes from within. The direction I take from here is always a mystery to me. A little late, but I finally discovered what I love to do and am truly passionate about. I could produce images all the time under almost any circumstance and I love it. The cheesy phrase that says that if you want to be happy “do what you love and love what you do” really describes how I feel about photography, and I just want to become a more established artist and live from what I love to do, and do nothing else!” – Rebecca Massey
