Photoshop Curve Download: Savannah (FREE)

Photography is more than just taking a picture. Editing is key and curves are probably the best way to do it. Manipulating curves in photoshop without help can be quite intimidating, but no worries! This is a new series that provides resources for the aspiring artist/photographer. The following is a quick download that will immediately transform your photos. This curve can be applied to any photo for a slightly different effect. Feel free to play around with any of the Nonsense Society curves, learn, and try making your own. In fact! – send some of your curves to me and I might even share them with the world!

A Talk With Ashley Lebedev, Conceptual Photographer

Ashley Lebedev is unlike any photographer I know. Her style is unforgettable. She tells stories with her art and leaves viewers feeling like they have been kicked in the gut (or the heart). Just the kind of art I like. I was fortunate enough to interview Ashley, and publish some of her work on the Nonsense Society website. Please enjoy.

We Love Your Creativity #9 – Nudity

Naked photos immediately catch people’s interests. There’s sort of an element like you are doing something wrong. In general, people need to be more accepting and shouldn’t immediately classify a nude photography as vulgar and tasteless. Flaws are what make people interesting. When I see these photos it makes me respect the models. That’s why they are inspiring to me.

You probably don’t want to look at this at work or with children (duh).

Young Artist Showcase: Natasha Sadikin (17, USA)

Sometimes I feel like I can stand for eternity in front of an “awe-inspiring” photograph, and I hope that one day, a person will do that to my work too ^__^

Natasha’s photography grabs me by the heart and drags me through the mud. Her compositions disturb and inspire me. At only 17, I encourage Natasha to take her skill and run with it. She has something special.

Super Creative Animation by Mister Kama

Two really awesome animations. One featuring an escalator, one featuring a photocopy machine, and both featuring outstanding creativity. Love it.

Young Artist Showcase: Mary Robinson (16, USA)

I first found 16 year old Mary Robinson’s photostream a few months ago, and added her as a contact immediately. Her photos are some of my favorite kind– the type that seem to carry a memory with them. It could be yours, or hers, or anybody’s. But that’s just it. It’s alive. It has that hint of another dimension… time, smell, touch, emotion. Her film photos especially seem to hold this quality. These are the things I want to look at, the pretty way that I want to live. Her photos inspire me to do so. I hope you find the same :)
