Catya Maré: New Age Songwriter, Violinist, and Producer

Catya’s story of how she came to fame is a good one. She found herself tired of the classical music world, got sick with the flu, and randomly decided to write her own music. It turns out that all the people who said, “You can’t make a living playing your own music,” were wrong. Since then, Catya Maré has won the Hollywood Music in Media Award, Billboard World Song Contest, been appointed voting member for the 2011 Grammys, and been featured in multiple movies and TV shows. Nonsense Society welcomes Catya Maré into it’s legions of creatives who stand out where others usually blend in.

About the Artist

Catya Maré is a popular, multiple award winning songwriter, violinist and music producer (world / orchestral / Celtic new age / electronica / pop) from Denmark who is now living in Los Angeles, California.

She has performed as a classical violinist since her early childhood (first concert as a soloist with a large symphony orchestra at age 10), held the position of an alternating concertmaster with one of Europe´s finest symphony orchestras, Aarhus Symfoni Orkester (DK) and has done numerous performances at international concert halls and major museums of art, such as National Galerie Berlin (Germany) and Kunsthaus Zürich (Switzerland).
Catya Maré started composing / producing her own music in 2005.

She was nominated for the Hollywood Music Award in November 2008 and won the Billboard World Songwriting Contest in February 2009. In November 2009 Catya Maré won the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award.
In February 2010 she was rewarded 8 Editor´s Choice Awards on one of the leading music licensing sites today, Revostock.

Catya Maré´s music is included in Hollywood movies, such as “Butterflies in the wind” and “Homecoming“, TV shows (e.g. “Cruisin´with E-Rider“) and receives worldwide air play.
