Young Photographer Week: Sarah Howe

“Photography to me is capturing the world through a lens as realistically as if it were through my own eyes. I strive to capture it how it is, and then adjust it to express what it means to me.” - Sarah Howe

sarah-howe-thumbHi, I’m Sarah Howe. I’m 15 years old and absolutely obsessed with nature. The changing seasons captivate me like nothing else in this world can, and I strive to express those feelings through my photographs. Photography isn’t a career I want to pursue, but rather a form of expression I hope to always carry with me. A simple walk in the woods mesmerizes my senses, whether my camera is around my neck to preserve it or not. That’s where you’ll find me, completely happy.

Yeah, that one reminds me of something from The Village. Do you think the grasshopper jumped in her eye shortly after taking that picture?

Nice job. Yours have good composition; everything’s not all in the center. With the cameras of today, anybody can take a photo, but not everybody has a good eye. Keep it up!
