The porch door jolts me from my movie, my breath catching in my chest. Dad’s just come home again. It’s 5:30 A.M., another sleepless night. I’ve tried everything: Benadryl, chamomile, weed. I for sure thought the weed would work. Maybe I need to try all three together. Dad is in the kitchen. The clank of ice followed by the slosh of liquid, his daily brandy cocktail is soothing his conscience. Apple Going Green With a New Ad Campaign

Just for fun: Here is an idea I had for Apple to go a little more green and sell some more iPhones (as if they need the help). I love Apple’s advertising and would never complain, but I thought this was cool-looking and wanted to share. Any feedback is appreciated, as always. I chose to use the old marketing slogan “Think Different.” It seemed appropriate here.

Top Hats and Knives: Review of Tuna Ferit

When I first looked at the pencil art featured at the Society by Tuna Ferit, I was blown away. Revisiting it again several days later with a more discerning eye however… no, I was still blown away. The first and third submissions especially are bordering on photo-realistic. Looking at this art actually sparked a lively debate between myself and my fiance, and to keep this review from simply being ham-fisted adoration of a particular artist (which he totally deserves), I will explain my feelings on the debate with you in an attempt to provide some form of reflection.
